.position overview:the account manager is responsible for maintaining customer accounts, including developing strategies for achieving sales goals, meeting monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals, and acquiring new customers through means of telephone calls, e-mail, and by attending trade shows and meetings.
in addition to providing customers with excellent customer service and thorough information on products, his position involves keeping abreast of customers' industries, competitors, and market trends, and assessing the customer's needs and matching them with relevant products and services.
will travel as needed to meet with customers and participate in shows promoting company products and continuing to foster existing customer relationships and establishing a strategic plan to form new customer relationships.
