Sap fico consultant – application support (junior to mid level)
the sap fico consultant – application support is responsible for providing functional support for sap financial accounting and controlling (fico) modules, ensuring system stability, accurate issue resolution, and smooth daily operations. This is a support-focused role and does not include project implementations, roll-outs, migrations, or full lifecycle projects.
key responsibilities
* provide l1/l2 support for sap fico modules (fi / co).
* analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve functional sap fico issues.
* support end users with day-to-day finance and controlling related sap incidents and questions.
* perform minor configurations and adjustments within sap fico under guidance.
* monitor financial processes and ensure system continuity.
* document incidents, resolutions, and support processes.
* collaborate with senior sap consultants and escalate complex issues when required.
required skills & experience
* 2 to 6 years of experience in sap fico support.
* good functional understanding of fi and/or co processes.
* experience working in application support or ams environments.
* familiarity with ticketing tools, slas, and support workflows.
* strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
* good communication skills and a service‑oriented mindset.
* willingness to learn and grow within a support‑driven role.
nice to have
* exposure to month-end closing support.
* basic knowledge of sap configuration in fi or co.
* previous experience working with global or regional support teams.
