The consulting family forms part of the business/function consulting track within the it function. As a business analysis specialist i, the person will collaborate with business units or functional groups to clarify and communicate business requirements, assuring products and services are aligned with business needs. They will become business or function specialist, can be technology generalists or specialists, providing an array of services such as business process improvement, priority-setting facilitation, project definition or design, and broker it and contract services. 6+ years of experience in it, business process, or consulting roles with proven success of project implementations required along with knowledge of practices, policies, and procedures in their area. They will have varied responsibilities with moderately complex problem solving, independent analysis, and decision-making skills including experience in the use of technology in managing a business/function process. In addition, an understanding of how it affects an organization and ability to link it to redesigned business processes and previous experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement is desirable, involving broad based information systems and utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change.
