at sblogistics, we are looking for a strategic and results-driven air route development manager to lead the growth and optimization of our air freight network. This role is responsible for identifying new trade lane opportunities, managing airline partnerships, and driving revenue growth through strong yield management and route development strategies.
key responsibilities
* develop and execute the air route development strategy, identifying new trade lane opportunities and market potential.
* evaluate financial viability and build business cases for new routes and capacity agreements.
* negotiate rates, allotments, and block space agreements with airline partners.
* optimize carrier mix and space utilization across key trade lanes.
* monitor market trends including capacity, seasonality and fuel surcharges to support strategic decision-making.
* collaborate with the pricing team to define competitive pricing strategies and protect margins.
* support sales team with technical expertise for rfqs and strategic customer opportunities.
* participate in customer reviews and strategic discussions related to air freight solutions.
* track performance and revenue metrics including yield per kg, margin per trade lane, and space utilization.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree in logistics, international business or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in air freight, ideally in route development.
* strong knowledge of global air cargo markets and airline partnerships.
* experience in negotiating airline capacity agreements or rates.
* strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
* advanced english.
