Scope

use of record is mandatory for employees supervised by human resources of fmc d-gmbh, location bad homburg. All not affected organisations have to at least address the topics indicated by in their corresponding local documentation.

goal of function:

the procurement claim manager within the global plant operations procurement group ensures plant-based supply sides issues are owned, addressed on a timely basis, root cause analysis is conducted, and fixes implemented.

this role also make decision on how to solve the supply issues and which functions need to be involved (e.g. materials management, category management, plant quality, etc.). It also requires precise monitoring of resolution progresses and communication to senior management.

this role covers the 11 plants in the americas which are supplied by over 3.000 suppliers. This role ensures manufacturing sites can maintain operational continuity in a sustainable manner.

tasks:

tasks performed regularly which form the essential characteristics of the position.


• monitor and track supply issues reported by different sites, ensuring they are escalated in accordance with the escalation process


• serve as the main point of contact for the facilities and gbs for resolving critical supplier-related issues that may impact production timelines


• collaborate with the different procurement teams as category management and sourcing hub to gather necessary information and drive resolution efforts


• communicate with suppliers to escalate and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring no disruption to operations


• maintain a clear record of escalated issues, providing regular updates to senior management and relevant stakeholders


• develop and implement strategies to prevent recurring supply issues by identifying root causes


• coordinate with cross-functional teams (operations, gbs, quality, etc.) to ensure alignment on escalation processes and solutions


• prepare kpis on supplier performance, highlighting areas of concern and opportunities for improvement


• ensure full documentation of all claims in a central manner accessible by all procurement functions globally


• ensure compliance with all company policies and industry regulations.


• lead cross functional groups for supply issue resolutions.
