as part of their ongoing commitment to operational excellence, they are seeking a
senior plant controller
to support their finance and operations teams.
this role will report directly to the director of finance and administration and will play a key role in analyzing financial data, driving cost optimization, and supporting strategic decision-making at the plant level.
responsabilities
finance & reporting
analyze and interpret financial data for various stakeholders including group controlling, division controlling, and operations.
monitor actuals vs. budget, explain variances, and support monthly financial closings and reporting (ifrs).
coordinate and report on industrialization and revaluation processes to ensure cost accuracy.
cost accounting & analysis
manage annual and periodic cost analysis activities (including cogs).
provide detailed product costing analysis and support cost evaluations.
investigate and resolve variances at the process order and product levels.
collaborate on recipe templates and master data changes with operations.
performance analysis & business support
evaluate plant performance, support business plans and cost-saving initiatives.
lead and support site projects aimed at process improvement.
analyze monthly kpis and provide predictive insights to leadership.
conduct investment reviews and cost center follow-ups.
contribute to budget forecasts and long-term strategic planning for the site.
requirements
education & experience
bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a professional accountancy qualification.
minimum of 5 years' experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
technical skills
proficiency in sap fi/co and advanced excel.
solid understanding of costing processes and financial forecasting.
experience in project management is a plus.
soft skills
strong analytical and business acumen.
excellent attention to detail.
effective oral and written communication in english (fluency required).
work environment
full-time presence required on-site in guadalajara.
