Responsibilities
* lead the standardization, optimization, and redesign of error-proofing (poka-yoke) systems across cutting and sewing operations within jaropamex manufacturing plants.
* develop and implement vision-based inspection systems, including associated methodologies, standards, and work instructions, for both in-line and end-of-line sewing process verification.
* partner with manufacturing engineering teams to standardize, optimize, and redesign sewing guides, fixtures, folders, templates, and machine attachments, reducing process variation while improving productivity and cycle times.
* optimize and standardize sewing templates, cnc programs, and process parameters for semi-automated manufacturing applications, including quilting and embroidery operations.
* collaborate with technology suppliers and industry partners to identify, evaluate, and implement innovative semi-automated and fully automated solutions for automotive seating cutting and sewing processes.
* lead the evaluation and development of business cases for automated guided vehicle (agv) implementation to enhance material handling efficiency across cutting, sewing, and warehouse operations.
* develop and maintain standardized industrialization cost models for new business quotations, supporting the launch of new sewing lines, cutting areas, equipment, tooling, and automation initiatives.
* drive continuous improvement projects focused on quality enhancement, labor optimization, waste reduction, automation, and operational excellence.
* support new product launches by ensuring manufacturing readiness, process capability, and compliance with customer requirements and automotive industry standards.
* work closely with cross-functional teams including operations, quality, program management, maintenance, and manufacturing engineering to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
qualifications
bs in mechatronic, electromechanic, electronic controls engine
3-5 years experience in automotive industri as applications engine
