for our major appliances business, we are looking for a warranty cost leader in food preservation na, to lead quality activities in the warranty and damage areas, with the aim to reduce the cost to the product to a minimum.
in this role, you will deliver a step forward improvement of quality, focusing on warranty cost reduction and process optimization projects.
you will define the best processes and methods to minimize costs to the company.
the team
in your role, you will report to the quality director food preservation pl taste and be assigned to region na, following the guidance of the regional quality director.
key outcomes:
* sustained warranty cost reductions to increase profitability.
* updated product handling and installation guidelines.
* high-impact troubleshooting and repair guides.
key activities and responsibilities:
* assess warranty claims accurately using strong technical knowledge, identify issues, and lead solutions.
* analyze warranty data and claims to determine validity and eligibility.
* inspect defective products, identify root causes, and generate opportunities to reduce warranty costs.
* address opportunities to minimize product damages at warehouses, rdcs, and factories.
* identify and mitigate damages during installation.
* collaborate with the quality market manager to understand regional needs and opportunities.
* improve communication between quality/r&d and cec/tid, and generate troubleshooting guides to reduce service calls.
* implement actions to prevent unnecessary component replacements.
* conduct training across rdcs, the service community, tid/cec.
* perform audits at factories, warehouses, and customer sites.
* benchmark solutions across regions.
* report warranty data according to standards.
minimum qualifications
* understanding and embracing a broad approach: customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, efficiency, empowerment, and process management.
* practical experience with key quality tools and methodologies.
* strong business drive and goal orientation.
* proficiency in project management methodologies.
* ability to work in an international, non-hierarchical environment.
* networking skills at all organizational levels, internal and external.
* willingness to lead change and elevate quality standards.
* digital mindset with strategic insight and solutions.
* university degree in engineering or equivalent, with at least 5 years of experience in quality, r&d, pl, industrial operations, or customer service.
* experience with innovation activation processes and cp deliverables.
* passion for enhancing consumer experience.
* fluent in english.
