overview
we are seeking a student to support high‑impact projects while pursuing a university degree. The role focuses on continuous improvement and operational excellence within cummins mexico.
responsibilities
* update the value stream mapping for business units to identify non‑value‑added activities, cycle times, and material/information flow.
* establish a comprehensive continuous improvement plan that increases operational efficiency, reduces waste, and ensures alignment with current organizational standards.
* support video recording and time analysis activities on production lines.
* support the mapping of operations for each business unit.
* design visual factory system standards for the plant.
qualifications
* enrolled in a university program for the entire duration of the internship.
* bachelor’s candidate in industrial engineering, graphic design, industrial and systems engineering, or related field.
* availability for 1 year as an active student (enrollment until june–july).
* availability for 7 morning hours per week (monday to friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.).
* registered with a federal taxpayer registry (rfc).
* english level: basic to intermediate (speaking, writing, listening).
* positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
