we are seeking an outstanding secondary english science teacher with the ability to teach chemistry, physics, and biology. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who can bring science to life through engaging, hands‑on, and inquiry‑driven learning experiences.
The successful candidate will inspire curiosity, develop analytical thinking, and empower students to explore scientific concepts with confidence and creativity.
Key responsibilities
plan and deliver engaging science lessons across chemistry, physics, and biology
use inquiry‑based and experimental approaches to deepen student understanding
design and facilitate laboratory activities and hands‑on investigations
encourage critical thinking, problem‑solving, and scientific reasoning
differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs
assess and monitor student progress, providing meaningful feedback
integrate technology and real‑world applications into lessons
maintain a safe and well‑managed laboratory environment
collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary and project‑based learning
communicate effectively with parents regarding academic progress and student development
requirements / skills
bachelor’s degree (minimum)
2+ years of experience teaching science—biology, chemistry, and physics at the secondary level
teaching qualification or certification (preferred)
proven experience teaching science at secondary level
ability to teach across multiple science disciplines
strong laboratory management and safety knowledge
experience in bilingual or international school settings (desirable)
excellent classroom management and organisational skills
advanced english proficiency (required)
teaching credential/license
tesl/tefl certificate over 100 hours or tesl/tefl diploma level
native english speaker
letters of recommendation (minimum 3) and a clean criminal record
availability for 20 to 30 teaching hours per week, plus 10 hours for duties, planning, staff meetings, professional development, and school events. Daily schedule: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., monday through friday. One day per month dedicated to professional development. Requirement to work within shared housing if applicable. School year: august 29, 2023 to july 14, 2024.
