dg boss: administrative assistant (fn)plans, directs and organizes all food service administrative activities.responsibilitiesprepare correspondence, typing inter‐office memos, naval messages, master menu, work orders and work requests.prepare personnel action notices for transfer, promotions, regular and compassionate leave, job vacancy, end‐of‐contract notices, contract renewal, job descriptions, disciplinary action requests, letters of intent to prescribe disciplinary actions and award recommendations.coordinate actions with the operations office and admin/human resources office for scheduled annual home leave, new hire status and compassionate leave.schedule new hires for medical appointments, photo sessions, food service orientation briefings, food service sanitation test scheduling and receive proper uniforms.accomplish sanitation reports for all food service activities including the galley, warehouse and prepare the appropriate responses to the proper medical authority.maintain, track and monitor medical certification for compliance, up‐to‐date certificates and activity calendars for food service events such as special meals, special events, contract modifications, unit standard operation procedures (sops), continuity records and unit photo historical files.prepare required reports such as contract narratives using microsoft word and microsoft excel, order and maintain office supplies, records, screens and prepare personnel timecards for submittal to finance.receive, screen, transmit telephone messages and instructions.act as the focal point for bruises, cuts, scrapes, other minor injuries and prepare accident reports.submit menus for news publication, ensure menus are in proper format, and are current and accurate.compile muster reports, new employee folders and personal information file.perform duties as custodian for contract requirements, company operating procedures and general mess control record.act as a liaison between all food service activities requiring administrative support and coordinate office activities to ensure all information is properly disseminated.provide up‐to‐date filing system for all correspondence and the food service library with current regulations, publications and reports instructions.provide all other duties as may be required.basic qualificationsmust speak, read and understand english language.must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.must possess administrative, organizational and computer skills to include proficiency with microsoft office suite (ms word, powerpoint, excel and outlook).
preferred qualificationsfood sanitation training certificate.educationhigh school graduate or a minimum of 1 year in college.experiencea minimum of 5 years working for the u.s. military installations or with american owned companies in office management operations.
a thorough knowledge of correct filling/bookkeeping procedures.
extensive knowledge of using computer systems.
