The information systems manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the manufacturing execution systems (mes), legacy/non-erp systems, and software development to ensure seamless operations across multiple manufacturing sites. This role drives it strategy, digital transformation, and system integrations to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and innovation within the company’s it landscape. The role ensures high availability, performance, and security of critical business applications while aligning it solutions with corporate strategy and industry best practices. Principal activities: mes operations & support manage the mes support team to ensure real-time data acquisition, production monitoring, and automation across plants. Lead mes integrations with erp (oracle ebs / sap s/4hana), scada, and industrial automation systems. Oversee system enhancements, troubleshooting, and compliance with manufacturing regulations and quality standards. Legacy / non-erp systems management maintain, optimize, and modernize legacy it applications, homegrown systems, and custom-built solutions. Plan and execute migration or integration strategies for aging systems with modern it platforms. Ensure data integrity, security, and system performance across legacy applications. Software development & custom applications lead the devops and software engineering teams to design, develop, and maintain business-critical applications. Oversee full-stack development, ci/cd pipelines, and system integration projects. Define and enforce coding standards, software development best practices, and devops methodologies. Define roadmaps for mes, legacy systems, and software innovation aligned with corporate it strategy. Spearhead digital transformation initiatives, including iot, industry 4.0, cloud computing, and ai-based automation. Drive the adoption of modern architectures (microservices, cloud-native applications, edge computing, etc.). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align it solutions with business needs. Manage and mentor mes coordinators, devops coordinators, and information systems coordinators. Foster collaboration across it, manufacturing, and business departments. Oversee vendor relationships, evaluate new technologies, and manage it budgets effectively. System security, compliance & risk management ensure data security, system reliability, and regulatory compliance (iso, itar, gdpr, etc.). Work closely with cybersecurity teams to implement and maintain security best practices. Lead disaster recovery (dr), business continuity (bcp), and system backup strategies. Requirementes 8-10 years of experience in it systems management, mes, erp, and software development. Strong experience in mes operations, software development, and legacy system support. Experience with digital transformation, automation, and industry 4.0 technologies. Proven leadership experience managing multi-functional it teams. Exposure to sap s/4hana migrations or erp modernization is a plus. Manufacturing industry experience, preferably in high-volume production environments.
