In this role, your responsibilities will be:
* develop manufacturing plans based on the assessment proposed by new product development outlining anticipated assembly time, tooling, capital investment, manufacturing location and schedules.
* make decisions to purchase or manufacture components based on internal experience and available resources, volume and complexity.
* procure assembly and testing tools and procedures personally or in collaboration with external resources.
* decide the need to use outsourcing according to the relationship of resources and capacity; therefore, draft equipment specifications, request proposals, select suppliers and establish validation criteria and schedules.
* evaluate and contribute to npd proposals from a manufacturing perspective and provide feedback to the multi-functional team for the selection of most suitable manufacturing processes based on capabilities, cost, volume and quality.
* work with the quality team to ensure that products meet all quality standards.
minimum requirements:
* b.s. degree in mechanical/ electromechanical engineering or related field.
* proven ability in the development of new products.
* experience in conducting feasibility studies by analyzing product designs and identifying potential manufacturing challenges.
* proficient in creating and maintaining process sheets, work instructions, and other relevant documentation.
* management of cad and ms office software.
* good communication skills in english and spanish and collaboration.
* problem-solving and analytical skills.
* experience working in high-control environments on industrial safety issues.
