- develop and maintain a purchasing strategy to minimize total cost to the business relating to the procurement of external goods and services.
- implement tools to maintain appropriate market intelligence for purchased goods and services to minimize total business costs.
- establish and maintain the purchasing structure to quickly adapt to changes in market conditions or business needs.
- lead the process of annual purchase price reduction by setting clear targets (business planning), providing training and development opportunities to purchasing staff, and closely monitoring and reporting results monthly.
- support the implementation of tools to ensure accurate and competitive component and tooling costs are submitted in a timely manner for the development of the financial evaluation package (fep)-

- what we are looking for-
- bachelor's degree from accredited college or university.
- business master's degree preferred.
- 10 years purchasing and/or logistics automotive experience preferred.
- 8 years of leading teams.
- ability to read, analyse, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- ability to effectively present information to top management through established formats and procedures.
- good understanding of profit and loss and balance sheet information.
