the baker hughes internship program is designed to enable students pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree to gain hands-on work experience as the foundation of their professional lives. Our internships will give you first-hand insights into the processes, systems, and practices that are aligned to ensure customer needs are met through flawless execution and the application of leading-edge technology.

you’ll participate in focused training, team meetings, work on projects, and present your results. During your internship, you will be supported by a buddy and your manager, who will ensure you have a valuable learning experience. You can expect to receive coaching and mentoring to enable you to complete assignments and projects, developing your skills and knowledge.
you will also have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the health, safety, and environment (hse) standards of baker hughes, as well as our strong commitment to safety, equity, and diversity.
the duration is from 6 months to 12 months, starting january 2025 through july or december 2025.
as an intern, you will be responsible for:
1. assisting with the day-to-day manufacturing operations, including monitoring equipment, overseeing processes, and ensuring production goals are met.
2. participating in quality control and assurance processes, inspecting products for defects, and ensuring they meet industry standards and company specifications.
3. identifying opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction in manufacturing operations.
4. collecting and analyzing data related to manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and product quality.
5. learning and applying principles of lean manufacturing to minimize waste, improve efficiency, and enhance productivity.
6. preparing reports, work instructions, and process documentation to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.
7. applying health, safety, and environment (hse) standards and procedures in all situations to maintain compliance.

to be successful in this role, you will:
1. be currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, technology, mechanics, or other stem-related or business programs.
2. have maintained a gpa of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent in your country.
3. be fluent in english, both oral and written, with effective communication skills.
4. be able to relocate for the duration of your internship (locations vary).
5. be legally entitled to work in the country where you are applying without sponsorship or time restrictions.
