process (technician)
*responsibilities*:
this is a staff position which independently or as part of a team, is designed to maintain or improve manufacturing engineering processes, such as process design, facility layout, work standards, standard work, manufacturing releasing, facility engineering, nc programming, tool design, etc.
this knowledge is used to provide input into project assignments in an assigned area of the shop.
incumbents are used to analyze and investigate shop problems and follow up on recommendations.
manufacturing technicians work within generally defined procedures and guidelines but have the latitude to analyze and solve common manufacturing process problems.
the manufacturing technician assists with the more complex issues related to manufacturing process.
adheres to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, ergonomics, etc.
in performing assigned duties.
*basic qualifications*:
- quote all npi and current products
- create bom, labor and routings of components
- ecn analysis and bom up-date
- ecn implementation
- ecn incurred cost analysis
- set-up all npi numbers on sap system
- set-up boms, labor and routings on sap system
- support npi/ppap process introduction
- manufacturing/standard cost analysis of components
- assign raw material to components
- support development of standard work instructions
- collaborate on cppd meetings
- support sap annual cost rolling
- dcp analysis by npi
*background/experience*:
minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
college or university degree in engineering
bom structure expert
labor and routings estimation strong skills
sap system intermediate user
intermediate knowledge on solid works or similar programs
ms office intermediate user
strong knowledge of welding/assembly drawings interpretation
1e steel specifications strong skills
1e0099 intermediate knowledge
ecn analysis and implementation strong skills
metal mechanic/internal manufacturing process strong skills
ppap, fmea, control plan process intermediate skills
strong communications skills, both written and oral
ability to work with diverse teams of employees and customers
conversational english.
