*what you'll be doing*:- ensure statutory accounting and tax compliance for all latam north (lan) country cluster (mexico, guatemala, & panama), and provide relevant to local agencies as required, such as national tax authority, chamber of commerce, national statistic authorities, government health institution for tenders, financial institutions, and others.- support 3rd party statutory audit processes to ensure certified, signed, and audited financial statements for respective legal entities- support 3rd party tax advisors and internal global tax teams to ensure direct tax compliance for lan countries.- ensure local statutory adjustments (local gaap, tax purposes) are prepared, recorded, and reconciled vs us gaap reporting.- certify statutory ledger, and coordinate with direct reports to ensure account reconciliations are properly prepared and reviewed.- heavy partnership with vantive shared service center teams (vat a2r, c2c, p2p, etc), corporate and local business partners; align with costa rica indirect tax (vat) team to ensure local compliance- monitor changes in local legislation relating to taxes or statutory requirements, and proactively implement required changes to processes to accommodate such requirements- evaluate and implement process improvements/standardization of processes.- assist global fixed asset team by monitoring auc,, physical counts, etc- various business support required*what you'll bring*:competencies:- cpa accountant degree (required).- strong knowledge on mexican gaap as well as ifrs (required) and basic awareness and knowledge of "direct & indirect" tax (highly preferred).- proficiency and experience working with jde or similar general ledger system (required)- experienced in audited tax report (dictamen fiscal)- experience with transfer price study and assessment process, including sufficient knowledge of ocde principles (required)- english level c1/b2 minimum (required)
