Primary purpose:
define, install and manage a regional operations performance tracking system, providing the business with timely feedback on plant performance related to throughput, oee & productivity (bpph) against the business plan at the mexico & andina region. Applies theory of constraints to build a capacity model for the region considering current demonstrated rates per plant/technology as well as current and future identified bottlenecks per plant, providing the business with a strong capability to build scenarios of supply, shaping the operations strategy to meet the 5-year forecast of demand, pushing for 2 major outcomes, a 5-year task on plant oee improvement, and a capital plan for major increases required on plant capacity.
primary duties:
* governs and audits the oee calculations and reporting cadence within the region.
* manage an annual cycle time definition analysis for the oee calculations. Connects with me smes to trigger projects on major gaps within plants and technologies.
* responsible for policy deployment on annual operations goals into oee and maintenance targets to all salary functions and hpts.
* updates plant capacity analysis on a quarterly basis. Building scenarios as required per new releases of demand.
* define standard crew sizes per technology considering machine cycle times, operator cycles, operators available time and regulatory allowances.
* analyze impact of new regulation on crew sizes and total headcount per plant, build scenarios to adjust plant operations to meet the new norm while minimizing impact to plant capacity and overall cost.
* works with plant oex leaders and plant managers on building a 5-year improvement roadmap including but not limited to:
* oee requirements to meet demand.
* productivity targets based on crew sizes per line.
* proposed capex plan for oee / productivity
* the execution of annual gap analysis.
* work with plant managers on installing a daily operation management system around oee & tpm.
* manages repository of plant lay-outs.
job specifications:
* bachelor's degree in industrial engineering required, mba desired.
* +8 years of work experience on industrial engineering, operational excellence and continuous improvement management roles.
* black belt certification or a strong experience in data analytics.
* demonstrated ability to lead and impact effectively across plants regardless of reporting structure.
* travel as required (up to 30%)
