role description
faculty position in economics – cide (mexico city campus). The department of economics at cide, located in mexico city, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in any field of economics, with a strong preference for candidates working in macroeconomics, development macroeconomics, international macroeconomics, international trade, or urban economics.
the appointment is expected to begin no later than the fall semester of * at the mexico city campus. Applicants must hold a ph.d. in economics or a related field by august *.
candidates should demonstrate strong potential for high-quality research and excellence in teaching. The department offers undergraduate and m.sc. programs in economics. The expected teaching load is two courses per academic year. While prior knowledge of spanish is preferred, successful candidates will be expected to teach in spanish within one year of their appointment.
