Become an expert as a senior php developer
we are seeking a senior php developer to join our team and play a key role in building customer-facing experiences and internal tools in a high-traffic environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong backend expertise in php/laravel who can also contribute across the stack, ensuring scalability, performance, and code quality.
what you'll do
* design, develop, and maintain backend services and apis using php/laravel.
* build efficient, scalable, and secure backend solutions aligned with best practices.
* work with sql databases to design, implement, and optimize data models.
* integrate backend services with third-party platforms such as shopify.
* collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features.
* contribute to architectural discussions, technical documentation, and code reviews.
* mentor and support other engineers, promoting clean and maintainable code.
what you'll bring
* 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
* proven expertise in php with hands-on experience in the laravel framework.
* advanced english level for effective communication in meetings and documentation.
* strong experience designing and maintaining backend applications and apis.
* solid knowledge of sql databases.
* ability to contribute as a fullstack engineer when needed.
* strong communication and collaboration skills.
nice to have
* experience with react, remix, and strict typescript.
* familiarity with node.js (strong plus).
* experience with shopify (huge plus).
* exposure to gcp or azure cloud environments.
* experience in monorepo or modular repository setups.
* experience mentoring or leading other engineers.
