opportunity
basic function
responsible for supervising the preparation and delivery of components and raw material to the different mfg areas (assembly, casting, finishing) through sap for sanimex faucet operations (sfo). This includes ensuring timely transaction and proper sfo site materials inventory control (accuracy, kanban/store sizing) to meet supermarket and assembly delivery expectations. Actively drive improvement initiatives to reduce stockouts, raise product availability, and lead on-time delivery efforts. Batch auditing and component label errors resolution, manufacturing reports, ensures receiving and store of jit components at supermarket areas as intended per the kanban / min max set up.
specific responsibilities
1. administrate logistic movements from and to warehouse and production supermarkets (component and wip supermarket).
2. determine fixed locations suitable aligned with mfg in general storeroom.
3. coordinate material conveyance to the mfg areas and batch audits when required.
4. work in close relationship with purchasing and production departments in order to assure appropriate inventory levels based on kanban and/or min max.
5. administration of materials supermarkets to ensure integrity and labeling of the required material is in the production areas.
6. oversee the receiving area and coordinate workload daily.
7. inform of receiving and cycle count discrepancies to purchasing and planning.
8. provide buyers inventory and component related information.
9. administration, creation and maintenance of work instructions and standard work sheets.
10. ensures the correct input of the received material into the system as well as transfers and adjustments.
11. supervise activities of mobile equipment and safety check list by shift.
12. supervise virtual importation receiving process in order to assure that it matches to sap and that it has been performed in time.
13. supervise that indirect materials received for specific users/areas are being delivered promptly.
14. responsible to communicate of any material damage and ensures a correct control of scrapped materials for handling reasons.
15. administration of 5s's in the warehouse and supermarket areas.
16. supervise the proper receipt of invoices in sap and forward all the invoices to the accounting department in order to pay suppliers.
17. performs other related duties and assignments as directed by the materials manager.
skills / requirements
education and experience requirements
* education: preference bachelor's degree.
* experience: preference 4 years of experience as a supervisor role for warehouse activities; inventories; pull signal; kanban; min/max, lean manufacturing and iso.
* formation: preference sap is a must; english; microsoft windows based software applications.
