The siop team within sensata’s operations organization is seeking an individual who has a proven business operations background to run the demand planning process.
The incumbent will be responsible to execute sensata’s demand planning processes which provides a strong linkage between the customer, net revenue forecast and business unit decision-making to achieve a high level of accuracy in the demand signal to operations that fully considers and articulates risks and escalations within the full siop process.
This role will manage the execution of sensata’s demand planning process, collaborate closely with business unit functions (sales, marketing and product management) to provide consistent inputs to the demand planning process, support preparation of the demand review meeting and ensure cross-functional communication of information, which will lead to accurate and timely demand signals, execution, and closure of all escalations.

- collaborates on any communication with marketing, manufacturing and customer service to ensure accuracy and efficiency of message
- organizes the defining of an integrated supply chain to produce sustained, timely performance on all accounts
- key participant in the measuring and monitoring of specific product / program categories
- key participant in in-depth analysis with large amounts of data to run various statistics and analyses on the company to help future predictability of demand planning
- work closely with all stakeholders to create a comprehensive unit level forecast based on business unit segmentation decisions and product management guidance to include the latest market conditions and phase in phase out schedules.
- using the defined demand planning inputs (3rd party data market trend, historical data, customer forecasts etc.) to create and maintain content mapping and output a clean demand signal.
- ensure high levels of performance against kpi (forecast accuracy & bias)
- create scenario plans to assist in decision making on demand forecasting.
- ensure system parameters are set to support forecast accuracy targets.
- provide regular guidance and inputs to the supply planning process in order to improve execution.
- conduct what-if analysis to create alternate scenarios for ensuring that demand signals with the financial plan.
- provide clear inputs and effective actions to support regional demand review meeting for responsible customers.
- facilitate product lifecycle visibility (plm profile) in the demand review process to eliminate phase-in and phase-out inventory risks.
- analyze forecast errors, find the root cause and develop actions and initiatives to continuously improve unit level forecast accuracy.

experience / qualifications
- a university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

- advanced planning system experience preferred (demantra, sap apo, logility, demand solutions, etc.) preferred

- experience of developing internal and external customer relationships and building collaborative processes
- previous experience working with all levels in a complex and matrixed environment.
