design and oversee the implementation of occupational health and safety programs that minimize occupational risks.
Conduct risk assessments and coordinate preventive measures for facilities, equipment, and processes.
Lead the investigation of workplace accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and defining corrective and preventive action plans.
Manage and update the emergency response program, including drills and contingency protocols.2. Regulatory compliance and audits:
ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations regarding safety, occupational health, and the environment.
Coordinate internal and external ehs-related audits, ensuring the implementation of corrective and preventive actions resulting from these reviews.
Maintain up-to-date records and documents necessary to demonstrate compliance to authorities and stakeholders.3. Training and awareness:
design and implement safety, hygiene, and environmental training programs for plant personnel, ensuring they understand and comply with established policies and procedures.
Promote a culture of prevention and commitment to safety and the environment at all levels of the organization.4. Environmental management:
implement and oversee environmental management programs that ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards, such as the proper management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
Monitor and reduce the environmental impact of plant operations, promoting the efficient use of resources and the adoption of sustainable practices.5. Collaboration and leadership:
work jointly with the production, maintenance, and quality departments to integrate ehs policies into operational processes.
Lead the internal safety and hygiene committee, ensuring active employee participation and managing improvement proposals.6. Indicator and report management:
define, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (kpis) related to safety, health, and the environment, such as accident rates, regulatory compliance, and environmental impact reduction.
Prepare periodic reports on ehs performance and present recommendations to senior management.7. Security and asset assurance:
develop and implement asset security policies and procedures to protect company assets.
Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and propose improvements.8. Crisis management and business continuity:
