manage, direct, supervise a team of professionals in the usa global operations & supply chain (gosc) controllership record to report (r2r) organization team in the value stream activities which includes: manage internal/ external audits as required; transition activities from/to controllership record to report with other value streams and functions; manage/support the design and standardization and centralization of processes; approve balance sheet reconciliations and lead balance sheet reviews; participate in the mentoring accounting staff on controllership activities and career development; allocate the necessary resources to support resolving pending gr ir issues and reconciliation; ensure support to gl systems other than sap, if any.
responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepares internal and external financial reports for both: us gaap and statutory.
- maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments and income.
- responsible for tax area, including payroll tax, corporate tax and all local tax requirements.
this includes electronic reporting to government.
- compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy.
- prepares balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow statements, prepares and consolidates financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports.
- designs, modifies, installs, and/or maintains accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions.
- responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures and internal controls.
- responsible for month end close activities including balance sheet reconciliations.
- responsible for technical support and accounting of m&a activities.
- may oversee technical accounting research for complex business transactions and implementation of new accounting standards.
*must have: minimum requirements*
- bachelor's degree required.
- minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- language: english; fluent verbal and written
- medical device export industry experience
- strong compliance and consistent ethical behavior
- id&e and continuous improvement mindset
*nice to have*
- cpa or mba desirable
- sap/erp highly desirable and smartview reporting tools
- great communication and interpersonal skills
- highly motivated and be proactive; natural ability to lead.
