Director of operations job description
we are seeking a strategic and driven director of operations to lead our regional office in mexico. The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day business operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with the company's objectives.
key responsibilities:
* lead and manage all operational functions, including back-office, finance, hr, and administrative support.
* develop, implement, and optimize operational policies, workflows, and procedures to ensure efficiency and scalability.
* oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff to build a strong local team.
* ensure compliance with local labor laws, financial regulations, and company standards.
* manage vendor relationships, office administration, and technology infrastructure.
* partner with executive leadership to align operational strategy with overall business objectives.
* provide regular reporting on kpis, budgets, and operational performance.
requirements:
* bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, operations, or related field (mba preferred).
* 7+ years of experience in operations management, preferably within financial services, fintech, or capital markets.
* excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* bilingual proficiency in english and spanish.
the ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and maintain brand consistency across marketing channels and materials. Travel may be required up to 20% of the time.
