To plan, organize, direct, and control all operations within the service area of the station, including associated gsps, in a manner that provides maximum service to customers, ensures on-time departures of all aircraft, and maintains a highly productive and cost-effective station operation.
responsibilities include selecting, training, developing, and motivating hourly and managerial personnel. Control and utilize manpower through planning, organizing, and scheduling to maximize productivity within capital and operating budgets. Monitor daily station performance reports and utilize tools such as cosmos, famis, delivery records, courier manifests, time cards, billing documents, cash sales recap, datacomm messages, and petty cash reports to ensure operational efficiency. Coordinate o.d.a.s with cartage agents.
provide personnel with information regarding benefits, wages, salary policies, and operating procedures, ensuring uniform application. Support the corporate image through proper signage and uniforms. Support sales efforts by maintaining interface with local sales teams and key accounts.
coordinate station operations with other departments such as system control, hub, vehicle and ground administration, and aircraft maintenance. Manage trucking procedures during emergencies, adverse weather, or equipment issues, and develop contingency plans for equipment failures.
ensure compliance with fedex and government policies, regulations, and leases. Maintain security for fedex and customer properties. Supervise subordinate personnel according to corporate policies.
qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, five years of related business experience (including two years in station operations and one year in management), and knowledge of fedex ground operations, policies, and systems. Strong management, human relations, and communication skills are required. Fluency in english and the local language is necessary.
