it’s an exciting time to be part of iff, we are looking for our next flavors product manager manager to become part of our industry-lead business development team.
as our flavors product manager you will fully insert flavors technologies as part of nourish organization. This is a cross functional and influential leader who has accountability for the competitiveness and performance with executional authority across the sub-region. Executes and directs a strategy of differentiation for the long term that will result in progressively market share gains.
*commercial/ strategic responsibilities: the reach of the role and it’s impacts on the business*
- deliver sales growth & profitability for country/sub-region
- drive flavour strategy & customer value creation in line with the global vision and objectives
- successfully execute at the country/sub-region regional strategic plans
- communicate strategic regional plans with internal stakeholders and provide progress update vs target /kpi
- communicating the flavors agenda, priorities & ‘sell’ market opportunities for commercial buy-in
- translate value propositions into market opportunities resulting in building pipeline and supporting acms in converting opportunities
- being the ‘voice of flavors’ in your country/sub-region
- ensure overall sfdc pipeline is factual, quality of projects and volume are in line with regional targets
- defining and delivering the regional project kpis for flavors (project pipeline and win rate as key drivers)
- ensure project management and execution including supply, regulatory, operations, quality, pricing, and performance measurement aspects
- collaborate with other platforms to build integrated solution opportunities that include the flavours portfolio
- provide clear guidance with the country/sub-regional team on flavour priorities
- executing regional flavors pricing strategy aligned with key stakeholders
*customer relationship*
- understand specific customer activities, strategies, brands, markets, consumers via multi source
- develop awareness and understanding of multi-level cross functional customer organisation focusing on
- provide support & engage where required with the commercial team with innovation, workshops, presentations in promotion of flavours
- building enhanced relationships with key customer decision makers/influencers and develop customer plan
*knowledge management*
- gather and share with key stakeholders market intelligence on competitors, industry market, consumer, technology from interactions with customer/industry network
- ensure that the full understanding of the potentials in your markets by customer, country and category are up to date.
- ensure all relevant information is stored in iff’s business intelligence report
- commercially lead or support category platforms and go 2 market sales solutions
- ensure effective communication/sharing of relevant information with other commercial teams to maximise opportunities
*finance responsibilities*
- provide ongoing input on monthly sales forecasts by working with the local commercial team (ams & commercial dir) and providing formal quarterly review and annual budget.
- monitor country/sub-region flavour customer sales performance and provide strategic project pipeline updates to line management
- provide support & guidance on price increases in alignment with global/regional strategies
- understand economic scenarios, raw material prices fluctuation and establish pricing/price increase support strategies as required
*leadership responsibilities*
- support & guide the commercial team & other functions in representing the flavours platform and bu’s in category/industry/ sub-regional teams
- lead & encourage collaboration efforts with other platforms (ingredients & food design)
- ensure the commercial team build awareness and understanding of multi-level customer relationships, with a focus on decision makers/influencers and higher management.
- act as a leader/influencer with all departments to drive the strategy

*job requirements*:
- bachelor in business, marketing or food technology/science, or any other relevant discipline
- existing flavor knowledge base and expertise (sme)
- strategic and planning skills to deliver clear and well-structured plans
- passion in flavours with strong interests in product development, consumer and market understanding
- positive influencing skills to deliver in a matrix and leveraging other resources
- highly collaborative, team player, strong communication skills
- autonomous and confident
- advanced language skills: spanish/english

- minimum 5 years experience in the flavour industry
- minimum 5 years in sales experience in fmcg, flav
