Regional procurement leader, americas abb is looking for a skilled procurement business partner / category manager to lead indirect material and services procurement in the americas, while supporting a global team at abb robotics. Reports to: global procurement manager location: united states or mexico as a key member of the indirect materials and services team, you will develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost savings across service, facilities, and materials categories. You will also partner with internal stakeholders to capture demand and streamline purchasing processes through digital tools. Key responsibilities develop, plan, and implement sourcing strategy and drive initiatives to deliver savings targets. Manage a wide supplier base, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability objectives. Negotiate agreements under abb’s corporate framework and renew price lists, terms, and conditions. Leverage digital systems for process improvement and ensure transparency and compliance. Qualifications bachelor’s degree in engineering or economics preferred; 8 years of procurement experience. Strong background in indirect procurement and sourcing negotiations. Curious and quick to learn new categories, handling broad indirect material and service scopes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholder engagement at all levels.
