Position overview:
the operations coordinator functions as the lead operations professional. The operations coordinator effectively assists in managing the operational functions of a store, including administration, inventory control, customer service, and shipping/receiving, to enhance the client experience and create an optimal environment for sales professionals to perform at their best.
key accountabilities:
oversee store merchandise
* receive merchandise and prepare transfers to other locations.
* ensure store inventory accuracy and availability to optimize client service (including carnet merchandise and travel collections).
* monitor the daily high value count and maintain the returns report.
* lead and coordinate cycle counts and physical inventory preparations. Oversee the yearly physical inventory.
* lead and coordinate price changes, merges, re-classes, and ticket changes.
* process merchandise requests and follow up on special orders/back orders.
post-sales client communication and service
* provide superior client service for all post-sales interactions.
* ensure repair/engraving orders are entered, monitored, and completed promptly, communicating estimates as needed.
* perform minor onsite repairs, cleanings, and other services within the store's client service area.
* assist management in visual merchandise presentation through scheduled cleaning and inventory inspections.
sales and client development
* assist on the sales floor as needed while delivering the tiffany experience.
* partner with the sales team by processing merchandise orders according to procedures.
* assist with planning and coordinating store events.
* collaborate with marketing by processing marketing-specific merchandise requests, such as press shooting requests.
administration
* manage all store supplies, including sundries, packaging, and hospitality.
* track daily invoices and verify inventory reports.
* coordinate with facilities and it, follow up on audit issues, and manage record retention.
* answer incoming calls and provide excellent service to clients.
* perform daily cashier functions, including accounts payable and cash handling.
* act as security and health & safety liaison for the store.
* assist in maintaining and implementing operational support systems, such as inventory systems and supplier ordering.
qualifications
required
* 2-3 years of retail operations experience, with knowledge of merchandising, client service, administration, and shipping.
* analytical skills preferred.
* proficiency in microsoft word and excel; it knowledge.
* ability to work retail hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
* organized and detail-oriented.
* excellent interpersonal skills with clients, peers, and management.
* understanding of tiffany & co. standards.
* ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.
* flexibility to perform various tasks based on daily needs.
* knowledge of local import/export regulations.
preferred
* proficiency in tiffany & co. computer applications.
* graduate gemologist or gemology knowledge.
* experience in luxury jewelry retail industry.
