Front desk associate
the primary function of this role is to provide exceptional guest service, ensuring that every interaction leaves a lasting impression.
key responsibilities:
• process all guest check-ins by verifying reservations and assigning rooms, issuing and activating room keys as necessary.
• manage various payment types including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit, accurately handling transactions and resolving any discrepancies.
• facilitate seamless check-outs, addressing late and disputed charges while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
• respond promptly to guest inquiries, recording messages and requests with attention to detail.
• collaborate closely with housekeeping to monitor room readiness for timely check-in.
• communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors, dispatching bell staff or valet staff as needed.
• provide directions and information on the property and local areas of interest, contributing to an enhanced guest experience.
daily reports and accounting:
• run daily reports on arrivals and departures, identifying special requests and verifying report accuracy.
• complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system, balancing and dropping receipts according to accounting specifications.
• handle cash and traveler's checks with precision, counting bank at the beginning and end of shift.
safety and security:
• adhere to company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.

• engage in clear and professional communication with colleagues and guests, using positive language and tone.
