job objective
plan, monitor, initiate, perform and document development‐ and series‐accompanying tests and final design‐ and process verifications geared toward the needs of customers, production and suppliers.
duties and responsibilities
* execution and documentation of laboratory tasks.
* construct test set‐ups, models and test circuits for parts, assemblies, devices and systems according to legal, company and customer requirements.
* set up and adapt existing test equipment as needed.
* estimate test expenditure and create quotations.
* inform internal customers of deviations, provide alternatives.
* evaluate and interpret data, determine causes of non‐achievement, suggest improvements.
* prepare test specifications and guidelines.
* perform final evaluation in agreement with superior bodies.
* maintain devices, document problems and maintenance activities, assign calibration, perform internal calibration and verification tests.
* plan and follow up deadlines, coordinate test sequences with client and external providers.
* clarify, define and implement internal and external requirements with clients.
* coordinate service providers when needed.
* provide global functional support for methods within competence.
* carry out other tasks related to this position, including safety and environmental compliance.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electronics, or electrical engineering.
* more than 3 years of experience as an automotive validation engineer or systems test engineer.
* advanced english.
