Salaried and dedicated position as an industrial and ergonomics engineer collaborating with global teams in launch cost definition studies. The role is at the forefront of the manufacturing validation process, from preliminary station definition, architecting and implementing ergonomic and industrial solutions, through runoff validation and along the lifecycle of production.

qualifications

bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience in the automotive industry. Experience in electric vehicles is desirable.

deep knowledge of ergonomics principles and norms, capacity studies, and workloads (modapts, metafiles). Must demonstrate servant leadership skills and behaviors, serving as a role model.

responsibilities

* contribute to ergonomics evaluations of workstations and conduct ergonomic risk assessments.
* track labor utilization and line balancing to ensure efficient manpower deployment.
* conduct job ergonomics evaluations and recommend corrective actions using tools like ergo web, est, ergo rx.
* evaluate and redesign nonstandard activities in production and support areas.
* participate in the local ergonomic committee (lec) and develop ergonomic risk assessments of manufacturing operations.
* ensure nom and stps compliance according to isra standards in ergonomics.
* perform capacity analysis to determine operating patterns, uptime, and manpower requirements for committed capacity.
* recommend the most efficient distribution of manpower and review daily employee staffing, analyzing plant methods and standards.
* conduct time and motion studies, modapts, gspas studies, and review employee proposals and suggestions.
* perform deep dives into ergonomics and rto based on union proposals or requests.
* control and document equipment cycle times, inform the plant, and collaborate with production to identify opportunities and verify improvements.
* provide productivity engineering support to ensure changes to product/process design are robustly integrated into manufacturing and assembly, quantifying impacts on cost and efficiency ergonomically.
* develop launch curve updates aligned with official volume releases or required analyses.
* drive continuous improvements in jph and rto efficiencies.
* analyze process constraints, conduct equipment/workstation cycle time analyses.
* assess production and support operations to identify study needs and develop improved methods and standards.
* lead the implementation of improvements or rebalances from efficiency projects.
* support quick change over (qco) strategy initiatives.
