the role is accountable for driving new business development in wholesale, focusing on heart and belly accounts or new customers with significant growth potential for our oil business segment (wholesales - oil production chemicals).
responsibilities
1. develop new business in defined accounts, markets, geographies, and technologies.
2. manage sales pipeline supported by crm throughout the entire sales cycle (prospecting & hunting, discovering & decoding value, offering & negotiating, converting & closing).
3. understand customer value drivers, prepare persuasive tailored pitches of clariant solutions, and introduce new products.
4. create and follow up on leads and opportunities with defined customers.
5. maintain close relationships with customer technical teams.
6. provide inputs to regional/global innovation and marketing teams regarding market needs, trends, potential, and competition.
7. operate as a multi-point customer g2m, leveraging expertise at different customer journey stages.
8. understand customer value drivers and adopt a consulting mindset when pitching solutions.
9. combine technical expertise with a commercial drive to convert opportunities into sales.
requirements
1. degree in oil or chemical engineering or related field.
2. additional studies in sales or business are desirable.
3. experience in new business development, combining technical knowledge with sales acumen.
4. experience in sales and technical knowledge in oil production specialized chemicals and wholesale segments.
5. value-based selling and pricing mindset with a hunter sales profile.
6. passion for achieving and exceeding sales targets.
7. excellent communication and interpersonal skills, self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
8. proficiency in crm, microsoft office, and relevant sales tools.
9. fluent in english.
10. soft skills include sales drive, achievement motivation, customization, value creation, commercial agility, persuasion, and influence.
11. willingness to travel as needed to develop clients and business.
