Job description:
we are seeking a skilled it application support professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the resolution of application and system issues that arise across our business operations.
*functional responsibilities:*
1. support – problem identification & bug fix
2. technical documentation
3. coding
4. work as a member of a team composed of users, analysts, developers, and infrastructure personnel to support legacy applications along with existing and new applications.
5. identify trends and perform root cause analysis.
6. provide daily production support and help resolve any application problems in a prompt and efficient manner.
7. provide clear and detailed solutions to users while documenting issues and resolutions through a ticketing system.
8. investigate technical issues, using your experience, documentation, and critical thinking skills to identify the cause and apply or recommend resolutions.
9. escalate to more experienced team members when appropriate.
10. provide on-call and off-hours support as required to keep critical applications and systems operational.
11. saas application support (user management, admin responsibilities)
required skills and qualifications:
the successful candidate will have:
1. 2-5 years of application support experience
2. troubleshooting and analysis skills with the ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical personnel
3. experience using sql for querying, analyzing, and debugging stored procedures (ms sql server preferred)
4. able to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment and able to learn new applications, concepts, and skills
5. self-organized and able to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
6. some exposure to microsoft .net technology (asp.net, webapi, .net core, c#)
key qualifications:
the qualified candidate will have:
1. bachelor's degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of 4 years of general development experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience, or training that provides the required skills and abilities
2. knowledge and experience in the use of sql server and windows operating systems
3. ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
4. excellent written and verbal communication skills
5. ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
6. ability to prioritize workload, perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and relate to customers/outside contacts and fellow employees
7. understanding of the software lifecycle
8. research and resolve issues independently/strong problem-solving skills, high-quality, and detail-oriented
