about the role:
we are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented r2r accountant to join our finance & accounting team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, month-end closings, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with internal and external accounting standards.
you’ll work in a fast-paced, bilingual environment, collaborating with international teams and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
requirements:
* bachelor’s degree in accounting.
* 3+ years of experience in record to report or general accounting.
* advanced english and spanish communication skills (verbal & written).
* strong understanding of accounting principles (ifrs, us gaap, or local standards).
* experience working in a shared services center (ssc) or multinational environment.
* proficient in microsoft excel and erp systems (e.g., sap, oracle, netsuite).
key responsibilities:
* perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings in compliance with ifrs/gaap.
* prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
* ensure accurate and timely posting of financial transactions.
* support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
* analyze variances and provide explanations for management reporting.
* identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
* collaborate cross-functionally with ap, ar, fp&a, and tax teams.
