Objective:
develop, optimize, and maintain cnc programs for multi-axis machining equipment (3, 4, 5-axis, etc.), ensuring the manufacture of high-precision mechanical components in accordance with engineering drawings, cad models, and technical specifications, while maximizing production efficiency, quality, process safety, and continuous improvement in machining operations
key functions:
* develop, modify, and optimize cnc programs for lathes and multi-axis machining centers (3-, 4-, and 5-axis), ensuring extremely tight tolerances for super high‑precision components.
* interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and 2d/3d cad models to define machining sequences, toolpaths, and appropriate manufacturing strategies.
* analyze and select cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies for materials such as stainless steels and high‑temperature alloys, ensuring part quality and maximizing tool life.
* perform cnc program simulations to identify and prevent collisions, tool interferences, and machining errors prior to releasing programs to production.
* optimize machining tool paths to reduce cycle times without compromising part quality or causing excessive tool wear or breakage.
* identify and resolve technical issues related to cnc programming, machining processes, or operating conditions, implementing corrective and preventive actions as required.
* support machine setup activities, critical parameter adjustments, and first article validation in coordination with production and quality teams.
* work closely with manufacturing engineers, cnc machine operators, and quality personnel to ensure compliance with technical requirements and aerospace quality standards.
* maintain accurate documentation of cnc programs, revisions, and changes to ensure traceability, configuration control, and support for audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
* manage and maintain the cutting tool library, ensuring proper identification, standardization, availability, and controlled usage.
* provide technical support and training to cnc operators as required, and participate in the implementation of new machining technologies, software, and advanced manufacturing practices.
