job title:
senior plant logistics project manager
the
senior plant logistics project manager
is responsible for leading and coordinating plant-specific logistics industrialization readiness for new or modified products. The role ensures the plant is prepared for stable introductions and optimized internal logistics by anchoring logistics decisions locally, consolidating impacts into the plant master plan, and coordinating closely with the end-to-end (regional) logistics project manager.
plant logistics is part of the tti conventional organization. Our responsibility includes planning, coordinating, and executing the end-to-end flow of materials and goods within the manufacturing facility, ensuring that the right parts and products are available in the right quantity, condition, place, and time to support safe, stable, and efficient production; this covers inbound receiving, warehousing and inventory accuracy, internal transport and line feeding, packaging and container management, outbound shipping, and proactive issue resolution in close collaboration with production, planning, procurement, quality, and transport partners.
what will you be doing?
lead and coordinate plant logistics activities related to the industrialization of a new or modified product, in alignment with the end-to-end (regional) logistics pm
own and maintain the plant logistics master plan, consolidating all project driven impacts on areas, layout, interfaces, docks, routes, supermarkets, system, and equipment.
lead and coordinate part introductions and phase outs to ensure point of use material presentation and line-feeding readiness for builds, ramp-up, and serial production
build the plant logistics project structure and adjust it throughout the project lifecycle
understand, evaluate and predict plant logistics impact and risks on flows, equipment, systems, layout constraints, material presentation and lead time
define internal flows using vps methods (including vsm "friday to monday") and ensure readiness for builds and serial production
define tooling and equipment demands (e.g., trolleys, lifting tools, material handling equipment), including specifications, quantities, timing and installation constraints
perform logistics scenario costing, including time studies and conversion cost impact (incl. Friday/monday impact where applicable)
provide plant logistics input to sourcing requirements and packaging development, ensuring feasibility for inbound handling and internal material presentation
anchor logistics project decisions within the plant, ensuring alignment with local stakeholders and constraints (operations, me, quality, safety, facilities, etc.)
drive and/or support logistics setup for project builds and ramp-up, ensuring stable execution at the plant
manage escalations through line management and/or the project governance when risks, constraints, or decisions require resolution
coordination and governance (with end-to-end pm)
communicate and filter information to and from the plant logistics team and the end-to-end (regional) logistics project organization
coordinate dependencies between plant logistics activities and upstream/downstream workstreams (packaging, inbound, supplier readiness, it/systems, etc.)
support project gates by delivering plant-related logistics inputs to governance frameworks (e.g., lap/pap), including risk and readiness reporting
analyze, evaluate, and overcome project risks; produce project reports for management and stakeholders
who are you?
do you dream big? We do too, and we are excited to grow together. We are looking for candidates with the following skills, knowledge, and experience:
bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, engineering, or related field required
master's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project management and/or industrialization in a manufacturing environment
manufacturing process knowledge
familiar with 'order to delivery' processes and systems (plant interface perspective)
proficient in waterfall process and agile methodologies
experience working closely with logistics operations and plant stakeholders is preferred
excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional, multi-cultural teams at all levels
demonstrated experience in risk and change management
ability to oversee, coordinate, and juggle multiple tasks and meet tough deadlines
strong abilities in priority setting and problem solving
good planning, anticipation, and proactivity skills
pmp certification is a plus
