The **Quality Manager** is responsible for developing and implementing the companys annual quality objectives and ensuring that quality systems and processes meet corporate and customer standards. This role oversees customer complaint handling, internal defect reduction, system audits, and team development, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Quality Strategy & Annual Planning**:
- Translate company quality strategies into annual departmental goals and implementation plans.
- Prepare and report the annual quality work plan for management approval and execution.
- Supervise, inspect, and evaluate the completion of quality objectives across departments.
**2. Customer Complaint Handling**:
- Manage customer complaints to ensure root cause analysis, corrective actions, and no recurrence.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve customer quality issues promptly.
- Improve customer satisfaction and prevent Class A (major) complaints.
**3. Internal Defect Reduction & Continuous Improvement**:
- Monitor and reduce internal defects in inspection and final product quality.
- Lead quality review meetings to evaluate internal/external quality KPIs and promote continuous system optimization.
**4. Audit & System Management**:
- Manage second
- and third-party audits and ensure timely corrective actions and closures.
- Lead internal audits to maintain effective system operation and compliance.
- Analyze audit findings and drive systemic improvements in the quality management system.
**5. Quality Team Development & Training**:
- Define team structure, allocate roles and responsibilities within the quality department.
- Design targeted training programs to enhance staff technical and quality management capabilities.
**6. Other Responsibilities**:
- Complete other quality-related assignments as directed by senior management.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelors degree in **Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field** (must hold a valid Mexican professional title).
- **
5+ years of experience** in quality management in manufacturing; experience with **metal stamping and welding** preferred.
- Solid understanding of **ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (or ISO 9000), ISO 14001, and ISO 45001** systems.
- At least **3 years of experience** in **system certification and documentation** management.
- **
Internal auditor certification** for IATF 16949 or ISO 9001 preferred.
- **
Six Sigma certification** (Green/Black Belt) is a plus.
- Proficient in **CMM/VMM** and other quality inspection tools.
- Fluent English (able to use as a working language).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in **MS Office**.
