We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical controlling analyst to join our team in monterrey, mexico.
as a key member of our controlling department, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate financial analysis, supporting decision-making processes, and driving operational efficiency.
- prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including budgets, forecasts, and cost variations related to materials, labor, and operations
- execute variable cost calculations (vccs) for new projects and establish/update standard costs, ensuring alignment with sap data and expected margins
- collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify and track cost-saving opportunities
- support the plant leadership team with cost center reporting, variance analysis, and ad-hoc financial reports
- perform product costing activities and prepare quarterly product cost information
- assist in month-end closing processes, including journal entries and productivity metrics calculations
- participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts and fixed asset tagging
- bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field
- minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- proficient in sap systems and advanced knowledge of microsoft office suite, particularly excel
- strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, with emphasis on cost accounting
- experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across different cultures and departments
- strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- fluency in english
