A global manufacturing company is seeking a senior payroll specialist with strong technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership potential. key responsibilities:
* lead the end-to-end payroll process for both operational and administrative staff, including payroll review and cfdi stamping.
* supervise and validate complex payroll variables: bonuses, severances, settlements, special compensations, and tax deductions.
* ensure full compliance with mexican labor, tax, and social security laws (imss, infonavit, isr, lft).
* manage and optimize payroll systems such as tress, sua, idse, sat, and internal erp tools.
* act as a technical point of contact for employees and leaders, offering clear, empathetic, and proactive support.
* collaborate with finance, hr, and legal for audits, reconciliations, and internal controls.
* recommend and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and efficiency strategies.
* mentor junior payroll team members and support knowledge transfer across the department.
what we’re looking for:
* 8+ years of experience in payroll roles within manufacturing, engineering, or similar industries.
* proven expertise in tress, sua, and government-related payroll platforms.
* in-depth knowledge of mexican labor, tax, and social security regulations .
* advanced english (required) – capable of handling verbal and written communication with global teams.
* strong technical leadership, high attention to detail, discretion, and analytical thinking.
* proactive mindset, internal customer service orientation, and strategic decision-making ability.
