proactively and positively direct the activities of the maintenance, facilities, grounds, housekeeping and the departments ensuring that the following functions are efficiently performed in a quality-oriented environment reflecting the corporate values.
assist the facility in attaining daily operations metrics through positive maintenance activities. Responsible for facility, equipment; ensuring that it is maintained and functioning at or better than design specifications. Participate in plant safety efforts and actions, including maintaining a safe and clean environment. Responsible for employee training and development to include, maintenance personnel, and in some cases, production personnel. Process improvements, to include but not limited to, preparation of project papers, c.a.p. Expenditures and management of projects to completion. General functions of management, including cost, quality, production, reporting, customer service, efficiency metrics, discipline, motivation, etc
qualifications:
- requires a bachelor's degree or engineering.
- requires at least 8 years related experience.
- experience in durable manufacturing plant preferably in an hvac or similar appliance industry preferred.
- demonstrated skill in the development, implementation, and utilization of cmm systems preferred.
- previous fabrication experience required.
- tool and die experience preferred.
- minimum of 3 to 5 years previous supervisory experience required.
- demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
- demonstrated planning and organizational ability.
- demonstrated working knowledge of lean principles.
- previous kaizen experience preferred.
- demonstrated ability to work with hourly and salaried employees as a team.
