about the role
we seek an accomplished operations director to spearhead regional office operations in mexico city, fostering alignment with u.s.-based leadership and driving strategic business objectives.
key responsibilities
* lead operational functions in mexico city, including back-office, finance, hr, and administrative support.
* develop and implement operational policies, workflows, and procedures for efficiency and scalability.
* oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff to build a strong local team.
* evaluate and ensure compliance with local labor laws, financial regulations, and company standards.
* manage vendor relationships, office administration, and technology infrastructure.
* collaborate with u.s. leadership to align operational strategy with overall business goals.
* provide regular reporting on key performance indicators, budgets, and operational performance.
* promote process improvements, risk management, and quality assurance across functions.
* support business growth initiatives, including client service operations and cross-border collaboration.
requirements
* bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, operations, or related field (mba preferred).
* 7+ years of experience in operations management, preferably within financial services, fintech, or capital markets.
* demonstrated leadership skills with experience building and managing teams.
* in-depth knowledge of compliance, regulatory requirements, and hr practices in mexico.
* excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* bilingual: fluent in english and spanish (written and spoken).
* ability to travel occasionally to the united states for training and leadership meetings.
