Site planner – power plant projectsearthstream global are urgently seeking an experienced site planner to support the delivery of complex power plant construction projects.this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‐paced environment, understands the unique challenges of large‐scale energy projects, and brings strong technical and commercial awareness to the table.key responsibilities- develop, maintain, and optimise detailed project schedules using primavera p6, ensuring alignment with project milestones, engineering deliverables, procurement activities, and construction sequences.
- work closely with project managers, engineering teams, construction leads, and subcontractors to gather progress data and update schedules accurately.
- analyse schedule performance, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines.
- produce weekly and monthly planning reports, including progress curves, look‐ahead schedules, critical path analysis, and variance reports.
- support site teams with short‐term planning, resource forecasting, and productivity tracking.
- integrate cost and schedule data to support cost control, forecasting, and earned value management.
- collaborate with the commercial and finance teams to monitor budget performance, identify cost deviations, and support corrective action planning.
- ensure planning and cost‐control processes comply with project governance, contractual requirements, and industry best practices.
- participate in site coordination meetings and contribute to decision‐making with clear, data‐driven insights.required experience & qualifications- proven experience as a site planner or project planner on power plants- advanced proficiency in primavera p6- strong understanding of cost control principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and earned value analysis.
- solid knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site operations within power generation environments.
- ability to interpret engineering drawings, construction plans, and technical documentation.
- excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- strong communication and stakeholder‐management skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence decisions.
- relevant degree or technical qualification in engineering, construction management, or a related field (preferred).
