role and purpose
* organizational function which integrates people, place and process within the built environment with the purpose of improving the quality of life of people and the productivity of the core business
* facilities engineer is required to optimal building and service management operation and control, including quality and safety compliance, cost control and people leadership development
you will be responsible for
in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and corporate johnson & johnson procedures and guidelines, this position:
responsibilities may include, but are not limited to
* supervise maintenance facility technicians and manage their training needs
* schedule and coordinate all maintenance for facilities
* coordinate with outside contractors for building systems (e.g., hvac, plumbing) and ensure awareness of ees requirements
* follow and enforce j&j and mexican government safety policies, rules and regulations
* manage facilities-maintenance budget and maintain inventory of spare parts, cleaning supplies and contract services
* maintain activities such as pest control, environmental control, housekeeping, hvac continuous operation for the manufacturing of medical devices
* follow all company safety policies and other safety precautions within the work area
* ensure compliance with environmental management system (ems)
* support supplier evaluations for major services/products as needed
* follow j&j and ees records management policies related to information management, training, document retention, and third-party vendor considerations
* other responsibilities may be assigned
qualifications / requirements
* minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and/or medical device industry preferred
* previous supervision experience preferred (may be required based on position level)
* bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil or electrical engineering with proven facilities-maintenance expertise
* bilingual english / spanish preferred
* gmp / iso knowledge preferred
* knowledge of systems (hvac, electrical, plumbing) and clean room preferred
