we are currently seeking a skilled employee health & well-being shift doctor to support our manufacturing sites in juarez, chihuahua, mexico. The successful candidate will join our organization dedicated to the total health of our employees, providing effective approaches and strategies to serve them. As a salvarcar shift doctor, you will be responsible for caring for the health of manufacturing employees on shift 1.
key responsibilities:)
* work with the shift nurse to provide comprehensive patient care, including medical surveillances, new hire exams, general patient care, etc. Reports directly to the shift lead.
* collaborate with the shift nurse to monitor the distribution and inventory of medications, medical supplies, and other equipment. Report any discrepancies to the shift lead.
* ensure timely documentation of medical records and upkeep of medical records as well as emr documentation.
* provide patient care to all associates involved in occupational injury/illness incidents.
* support business leaders in reporting injuries/illness cases. Collaborate with ehs and external agencies such as imss to verify accuracy in reporting.
* report any issues during shift lead to include but not limited to emergency situations, employee incidents, etc.
* implement employee protection through appropriate occupational health programs, primary care services, and health promotion activation in accordance with j&j and local regulations and in close partnership with environmental health & safety (ehs), human resources (hr), facilities, and (shift, site, country, or cluster) leadership.
* maintain visibility as an employee health & well-being advocate and ambassador.
* participate in health and well-being campaigns.
* support the development and implementation of strategies to elevate the patient experience.
* enable data-driven decision-making through fully implemented electronic medical records (emr) and innovative health technologies. Develop and improve individual digital skills across the team to support our initiatives and effectively demonstrate our impact on employee health outcomes and occupational health strategies.
* conduct duties as assigned by shift lead depending on volume at clinic. Assist in preparation for audits, internal and external.
* comply with ehw medical training and other local and regulatory j&j policies.
qualifications:)
1. education:
* required: licensed doctor (non-restricted license) with a minimum of a bachelor's degree
2. experience and skills:
* required:
o 2 years of work experience
o 1-year of clinic experience and 1-year occupational health experience in manufacturing
o fluency in spanish is required, with excellent verbal communication and written presentation skills.
o fluency in english is required
o license according to local regulation.
o knowledge in applicable regulations and ability to manage occupational health related cases, including case management, disability management, return to work, etc.
o experience in emergency medical response and medical crisis management.
o experience working with electronic medical records
* preferred:
o preferred aed and cpr certification
o occupational health education diploma, certification, or license according to local regulation
o clinic experience
others:
* 5% international travel required
* work standard shifts as scheduled, with flexibility to accommodate special shifts as needed based on site requirements.
* this position will be included in the appropriate medical surveillance program.
