about the role
the account executive role is responsible for driving sales growth and achieving short and long-term objectives established in our business plan. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
key responsibilities
1. sales performance: perform sales calls, including traveling to customers and potential customer facilities, providing information and support; making sales presentations; calculating and quoting prices; taking orders; closing transactions; contacting prospects; explaining features and merits of products or services; utilizing persuasive sales and negotiation techniques;
2. territory management: monitor territory performance against established objectives and guidelines, taking appropriate actions to improve performance;
3. customer service: provide customer service to ensure resolution of issues within marketing policies; communicate customer requirements and request support from other departments as necessary; provide product-specific customer feedback to relevant teams to assist in achieving company goals;
4. strategic planning: assist in establishing sales objectives for the territory in conjunction with the regional vice president and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and practices, using good judgment and decision-making to maintain ethical and professional standards;
5. market intelligence: stay informed and inform management of industry, product, economic, and other changes that may impact sales and overall business; provide timely activity reports and support business and product planning;
6. regional opportunities: analyze regional opportunities, develop sales forecasts, and prepare statistical reports; identify additional activities, training, or materials needed to achieve sales goals in key accounts and markets; continuously improve activities affecting customer perception;
7. expense management: recommend and manage expenses within corporate guidelines; ensure proper use and maintenance of company equipment, vehicles, documents, and materials;
you'll have the opportunity to travel within the territory (75% - 100%), interact with diverse groups, achieve results through teamwork, and persuade or market new ideas. You'll also need to lift and move up to 100 lbs without aids and have vision comparable to maintaining a valid driver's license. Full body movement is required (standing, reaching, climbing, etc.).
