Support engineer - on-site it support
join our team as an on-site it support engineer. You will be responsible for providing technical support on-site, assisting users, and ensuring optimal operation of hardware and software.
location: el pueblito, qro
responsibilities
1. support users by maintaining pcs, laptops, printers, videoconference rooms, and telephony systems, resolving hardware and software incidents and requests in person.
2. maintain inventory controls and manage equipment allocation.
3. update records for new equipment, transfers, returns, loans, disposals, and donations.
4. organize and manage inventory.
5. coordinate warranty follow-ups, preventive maintenance, and equipment shipping and receiving.
step-by-step activities
1. provide timely support for system and equipment setup, updates, and calibration, including printers and barcode systems.
2. assist end-users with o365 tools like sharepoint, teams, and onedrive, including data backups.
3. document activities and create manuals.
4. follow up on projects such as warranty management, vendor communication, preventive maintenance, and software setup (minitab, label view, sap, zebra utilities).
5. support telephone networks and audiovisual equipment.
6. supply consumables to equipment.
7. prepare responsive letters and checklists for equipment readiness.
8. manage plant exits, inventory counts, and log entries/exits.
9. participate in and document mass changes.
10. select equipment for donation or disposal, testing and labeling.
11. organize and clean storage areas.
12. report and escalate equipment failures under vendor contracts, managing access and verification of activities.
