salary: $2,500 - $3,000 usd (monthly)
roles and responsibilities:
the accounting controller will oversee and execute accounting operations across the following key workflows:
* accounts receivable / accounts payable (ar/ap)
* manage manual bill pay, opex expense payments, amex, and ramp management.
* oversee invoice creation, client referral credit ledger, and payment processing.
* collections / evictions
* supervise delinquency management, tenant collections, and lost client owner collections.
* liaise with landlord-tenant attorneys; oversee 30-day notices, eviction filings, and court appearances.
* coordinate labor force scheduling and physical eviction management.
* customer service & client support
* manage hubspot cs tickets (client/tenant and staff-related).
* prepare financial reports for company meetings and larger multifamily (mf) clients.
* respond to larger client financial questions and provide continued education.
* improve client portal literacy and enhance client financial reporting experience.
* reporting & special projects
* lead reconciliation projects (e.g., rfdo).
* prepare, analyze, and present financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
* partner with leadership to implement process improvements, strengthen controls, and drive efficiencies across all accounting workflows.
skills:

qualifications:
* bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (cpa or advanced degree preferred).
* 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
* strong understanding of gaap, financial reporting, and real estate accounting.
* proficiency with accounting software, excel, and reporting tools.
* excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
* excellent english written and verbal communication skills.
* high-speed wired internet connection (200 mbps min.)
* windows 10/11 or mac ( 4 gb ram, intel i5 or similar)

schedule: monday to friday - 8:30 am – 5:30 pm est (1 hr lunch)
