About the role
the billing specialist is a pivotal position within our organization, responsible for overseeing billing operations across north america.
key duties include dispute resolution, account reconciliation, sop enhancement, and collaboration with sap consultants. The role demands strong analytical skills, fluency in english and spanish, and proficiency in sap and excel.
* serve as the subject matter expert for billing-related topics across north america
* support billing operations, including dispute resolution, credit notes, and document amendments.
* reconcile accounts receivable and remittances periodically.
* conduct audits of the general ledger and financial documents.
* collaborate with sap consultants in india/china to resolve system issues.
* maintain and enhance standard operating procedures (sops).
* lead and participate in billing process improvement and standardization initiatives.
* own and drive billing-related projects.
* train and onboard new team members.
* build strong relationships with local organizations to improve billing quality.
* communicate professionally with internal teams (sales, customer service, treasury) and external partners.
* serve as backup for supervisor during leaves, including decision-making responsibilities.
required skills and qualifications
we are seeking an individual with a bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, accompanied by minimum 2 years of accounting experience. Fluency in english and spanish is essential.
* advanced proficiency in ms excel.
* experience with sap.
* strong understanding of billing processes and dispute resolution.
* experience with accounting or erp software systems.
* bilingual in spanish and english.
