your next challengewhat you'll be doing:merchant sales managers are responsible from leading the merchant sales professionals for the assigned category, segment or geography and expected to monitor and increase the performance of the team by supporting them with individualized coaching and closing key deals:* manages the associated merchant sales team (regional, segmented etc) executing the commercial goals and strategies of the merchant organization.
* hires and retains team members, builds effective teams, leads team to achieve targets defined for the team.
* identifies common themes in team member development plans, proposes and designs corporate training programs for specific technical / soft skills where needed* defines and monitors essential metrics and kpi's to review the performance of his/her sales team.
* provides merchant sales team members with formal individual coaching regarding the performance measurement metrics in use.
* executes affiliation plan in the assigned region/segment, identifying new merchant trends & significant merchant clusters.
* develops relationships with key merchant decision makers, ensures profitable retention of key account merchants.
* monitors competition activity in the assigned region/segment, filters systematic movements and provides structured feedback to marketing teams.
* plans and executes rapid ad-hoc affiliation projects as per major client requests in a timely and organized manner.
* monitors merchants' lifecycles and identifies pain points, providing structured feedback to management and marketing teams.
* analyses merchant loss reasons, building action plans to prevent avoidable loses* balances team efforts on new affiliation, commercial negotiations, upselling & cross selling depending on the conjuncture and team composition* ensures efficient use of crm by the team, uses crm data in periodical performance / pipeline reviews.
* ensure compliance with commercial policies and procedures of the entity.
.education requirements:* ba/bs degree requiredwork experience requirements:* min 2 years in people management* min 5 years of experience on a client facing field role* previous experience in retail industries is preferred* proficiency in microsoft office* knowledge of crm software (sales force)* knowledge of the industry or market in which he or she is conducting analyses.
